Summer at last! The good weather brought out some new (or infrequent) riders who took advantage of the shorter distance to get a taste of the competition. Gary, James, Jerry, Sharon: we didn't tell you first, but it's addictive, we'll see you back soon ...
These days it takes two to beat Big Matt. Pete and Trevor took it to the letter, and set the new tandem course record. Matt was second (ok, first of the individual riders, if you want) and Andy was third and last of the riders under the 12 minutes barrier. The very few seconds separating most of the riders show how close the competition was.
The night saw a thrilling showdown in the Hardwicke clan: Jack had thrown down the gauntlet and Sharon chased him to the finish. At the end, Jack was the fastest Hardwicke of the evening with a new under 12 course record.
There will be another 5 miles evening TT later in the season, stay tuned.
Timekeeper and Pusher: Valerio Malenchino, Steve Jones (and thanks to Phil Hetzel for stepping in as additional pusher off)
