The first round of the season was greeted by a breezy, fresh and sunny day. The turn up was quite a good one for the first event, somebody must have been training this winter É It was good to see quite a lot of new faces having a go at the course for the first time. We hope that they enjoyed the experience and will be back for more.

Visitor Angus Jardine was the fastest on the night, winning convincingly by twenty seconds. It was much tighter for the other 2 podium positions, with Adrian just squeezing in front of Matt by 2 seconds. There was quite a lot of competition in the middle of the field as well, with 5 riders in 13 seconds around the 28 in mark.

The new Plomesgate riders get their handicap time set for the rest of this year competition:

Martin Alabone: 06:15

John Vidler: 10:58

Caroline Goldsworthy: 15:21

Timekeepers & pusher: Bev Whelan, Trevor Figgitt, Stephen Beaumont

Upcoming events:

3rd May: second event of the series, first rider off at 19:00

12th May: Plomesgate Open 25, Course: B25/2, first rider off at 14:00
