A big thank you to everyone who helped and made the event possible, especially the officials, marshals and all the ladies and gents who helped with the tea, coffees and cakes. I would also like to thank all the riders for showing up and for following the Foot and Mouth precautions on the start sheet. I hope you enjoyed your ride and didn't get too sun-burnt!

On a serious note, however, I was disappointed to hear of riding which was not entirely safe, especially as the riders concerned are experienced enough to know better. One of the incidents caused an elderly driver to move across the road to avoid a rider pulling out in front of them. Please remember that you are still bound by the rules of the road when racing and that a Give Way sign means that you must do precisely that.

Plomesgate 2-Up & Solo 10: If anyone had entered our March event which we had to postpone, we now have a new date to run the events - Saturday 25^th August. You should receive a new start sheet nearer the time.

The solo event has been a qualifying event for SPOCO East
