The night saw a big turnout and a few new faces. Summer still did not look right, the weather was unseasonably cold, but it was a dry night and that is better than nothing.

Visitor Angus won the event with the only under 24' of the day. The time is also his best result of this year series. Visitor John Adams led runner David Lang (first time on a tandem) to a very good 24 dead. The other 2 individual podium positions went to Big Matt and to tri-athlete Richard Woodard.

Congratulations to Matt, who reached his 6th club victory of the series, and is now mathematically sure he'll be able to keep the club trophy for another year.

In spite of the non-ideal conditions, Bev and Magnus both recorded their best time of the year so far. For Magnus this was a massive personal best, improving by more 3 minutes! With a handicap time of 18:54 he is now in the lead in the best improver competition. With one event to go and about 2 minutes advantage on second place John, Magnus as well must start making some space at home for the trophy.

The battle of the teenagers saw 'experienced' Tom in the lead with an impressive short 26, and Ben and Oliver having a very good very first time trial ever. The new generation seems ready to take over.

Nick Bestow had his first evening as a Plomesgate rider, so he duly gets his handicap time for the (short) rest of the season: 7:03. Oliver Fox gets 8:21.

And before you ask: this time Wojtek did not get the wrong exit at the roundabout, as his very good time eloquently proves.
