Club Run 1st January
Six of us met at the Broughton's house for an early start to the New Year's training. A cold but sunny morning saw John C, Jon S, Robert R, Julie, Mark & Viv covering about 20 miles off-road. We cycled up past Minsmere to Dunwich, hoping for tea at the Coastguard Cottages. Several thousand other people had the same idea, so plan B was to stop at Sizewell T. Unfortunately some of the party didn't get the plan B message. Mark was forced to consume the sausage sandwich and cup of tea he had purchased for Vivienne since Viv, Rob & Julie, who had lost a little ground, cycled straight past Sizewell T following the tracks of an unknown cyclist.
Off-road in the dark?
On Thursday 17th January there will be a night ride on bridleways in the Dunwich / Sizewell area. Bring your best lights. Meet at the Vulcan pub at Sizewell at 7pm. We'll ride for about an hour, then have a beer in the pub.
Becky's Progress
Good news - Becky Figgitt heard just prior to going to New Zealand that she has been selected for Stage three testing by the British Cycling Talent Search team. Her sprint results were one of the best of the girls. Well done, Becky.

Dates For The Calendar
12-13th January - National Championships Cyclo cross at Foxhall Stadium.
17th January - an off-road evening ride from Sizewell.
20th January - Club run from Somerfield at Saxmundham, 10am.
17th February - Thetford off-road enduro. 1, 2 or 3 14 mile laps. Contact Ken Ward 01449 711471 for details and application form.
