The weather forecast was for Thundery showers, thankfully they were wrong. It was a beautiful night, warm and only a light breeze saw most riders improving their times. Biggest improver and now leading the handicap competition is Matt Simmerson, cracking the 30 minute barrier for the first time and quite convincingly. Fastest on the night were Pete and Sarra with their fastest on this course, first solo was Trevor in 24.24 his first ride on this course this year setting the fastest time for a club member so far, but John and Jim are not far behind. Probably the best ride of the night was by Ipswich Tri club rider Julia Shaw in 25.23, which is an unofficial ladies course record an amazing 2 minutes better than the existing record held by Gillian Duff (Ipswich BC).
