They say bad luck comes in threes so hopefully last night’s bad weather means the remaining evening events will run free of bad weather or roadworks. The rain started just before number one hit the road and finished just after the last man finished. Unfortunately both Richard and Evert punctured at the far end of the course but both made it home safely thanks to Evert’s wife.
Most riders seemed glad just to finish but Matt rocked the form book and maintained his first place on the road to return a pb of 28.41. Fastest on the night Jim Ingram in 25.25 the times showing what a horrid night it was.
