A warm evening with a tough north westerly wind provided some good times. The Ipswich Tri Club turned up in force fielding seven riders in all. Fastest overall were Pete and Sarra on the tandem, fastest solo was another visitor Neil Douglas in 24.38 but not far behind was Jim Ingram in his fastest time for this course in 24.58. Fastest lady was Theresa Monaghan in her best time for this course by almost a minute and just getting the better of Bev Whelan by 3 seconds. Star of the night for me was 13 year old Ben Spashett (Ipswich Tri Club) in his first time trial turning in an excellent time of 29.42. What will he do with a bit more practice and a pair of tri bars!
