29th March - Bures & Chappel
20 miles - 852ft ascent. Early morning ride - the first in BST so an early
(and rather chilly!) start. [PB,JS]
27th
March - Nayland
13.9 miles (similar to 23rd but with extra loop through Nayland village.
Early
morning ride before work to try and avoid the lunchtime downpours. [JS]
24th & 28th March - Wormingford
10.5 miles - 'Lunchtime Loop'
23rd March - Nayland
13.1 miles - 400ft ascent. Evening ride over to the Anchor at Nayland for a
very pleasant pint
- sadly still blooming windy! [SS,JS]
21st March - Thorrington
22.4 miles - 874ft ascent. Ride over to Thorrington Scout Camp for a long day's
Cubs training.
Used the Wivenhoe Trail and found the section up to Arlesford
Road (in red on map) really bumpy
- in future I think the green highlighted
route may be a better choice. [JS]
14th March - Fordham/Copford Area
20.8 miles - 793ft ascent. Ride West into the wind, which was not pleasant
- but the tail wind home was rather nicer! [JS]
9th,10th,11th,12th & 13th March - Wormingford
10.5 miles - 'Lunchtime Loop' The weather has mostlly be bein' windy! [JS all days SS on 13th]
7th March - Fordham/Copford Area
24.9 miles - 1,045ft ascent. Slightly complicated route (see map!) going over
to Paul's then back to Bergholt to drop Steve off and then back round through
Fordham & Aldham.

4th March - Parsons Heath
12.1 miles - 510ft ascent. Lunchtime ride across town to drop off a Scouts
letter. [JS]
2nd March - Wormingford
10.5 miles - 'Lunchtime Loop' cold and slushy/icy [JS]
1st March - Darsham & Dunwich
16.4 miles - 638ft Ascent. Ride out from Helen's parents for a refreshing change!
