26.9 miles - 1,159ft Ascent. Ride started off stiflingly hot and ended up

30th August - Sailing - Bradwell
13 miles. Pleasant sail over to Bradwell for lunch on the beach. Quite a good
breeze and at times a bit of swell
but generally a good fetch both ways. [ACS,RAS,SPS,JS]
29th August - Wormingford
9.8 miles - Family evening ride over to the pub in Wormingford for a wee snifter! [JS]
27th August - Nayland via Burnt Dick Hill
13.9 miles - 446ft Ascent. Evening ride. Boy, are the evenings pulling in -first
ride for a long while to need lights. [JS]

7.9 miles - 'Lunchtime loop' shortened via Packards Lane due to lack of time whilst Robert at Karate. [JS]

Ride over to Edwardstone White Horse for Beer/Music festival - very nice! Weather

22nd August - Sailing - Pyefleet Week
5.7 miles. From one extreme to another. Race delayed due to lack of wind. Enjoyable
race once started with maiden flight of the new spinnaker system. A second
lap was required but it was already nearly 6pm by then so we didn't go out

8.6 miles over two laps. Still pretty darn breezy but much better than the

11.5 miles over two laps. Bl**dy windy and with some pretty big seas more survival
than finessed racing

stops!
