Hayden's LEJOG Ride

Saturday and Sunday Club Rides

These popular rides are ideal for getting in a few base miles in a group ride with the occasional excitement of a hill 'prime' or a sprint and a 'through -and-off' session. Distance is approx 35-50 miles depending on starting point.
Meet us as follows:
0800 - Main Rd Kesgrave (St. Michael's roundabout)
0820 - Melton crossroads
0900 - Framlingham (Bakery by the mini roundabout)
0925 - Saxmundham
1030 - Melton (2nd time)
Garmin 500 Route trace.
Plomesgate CC strongly recommends the wearing of a helmet by all riders in our club and open events including club rides. Note that for coaching sessions helmets are mandatory.
U18 riders will need to have a signed Parental Consent form to participate in these rides.

We are now runnning a Saturday morning B ride on the same route. On Sunday morning there is a 30mile ride starting from Snape Maltings via Chillesford, Butley, Eyke and back to Snape. This leaves Snape at 0730. Contact Carl for confirmation/details.

SP 012 Foster Cycle 2 (2)(5)

He did it! Hayden Foster rode from Land's End to John O'Groats at the end of May. This involved riding over 1000 miles in 9 days including some 27,500 feet of climbing. Hayden trained very hard through the very cold, wet 2012 spring to prepare himself for this ride. His dedication meant Hayden had often covered 30-40 miles BEFORE we start our Saturday morning club rides. Hayden rode in support of Action Medical Research. You can read more about the big ride in Hayden's end to end report.
Also a stunning photo of Glencoe and one of the final campsite.
